I've missed you!
I hope your Holiday Season was absolutely splendid!
Days filled with friends, family, hot chocolate, wrapping paper, gingerbread houses, Christmas music, twinkling lights, Christmas movies, Jello popcorn and Disneyland Heavenliness filled our hearts these last weeks and have left me sitting and staring at my Christmas trees not wanting to ever take them down. I admit that a few times this last week I've had my Christmas station on Pandora blaring through the house while I do the dishes...Perhaps I should move on the Valentine's Day decorations and party planning. Perhaps.

Aaaaaaaand, time to get caught up on this little blog of mine.

Here they are! The fabulous Cadjun Family! Doesn't little miss Anna look like she came right from a Mary Engelbreit Print? She is so precious with those perfect little ringlets bouncing around her darling face. And her brother with his guitar...mmm hhmmm, wish you could all hear him play. He is so talented! Well, all of them are really. It was so fun spending a chilly December afternoon with this wonderful family.

Hopefully I can get this post to publish. San Diego Wi-Fi has been a frustrating experience. My fingers are crossed!!!

I've decided to add a few more sessions to the Holiday Season before my Christmas Vacation. These mini-sessions will be 20 minute sessions, 1 background and 15 images on CD as well as 1 personalized Christmas Card File. The CD will be ready the following day.
Mini-sessions will be $50.

Welcome Crew

*I'm still having issues with my image hosting company...This is SOOO frustrating! Crew and his family are so gorgeous and the coloring on these images does not do them justice at all! I've switched back to using blogger's photo uploader so the images are smaller and the coloring is just a tiny bit better. Just know that these images look waaaaaaay better in real life!

Oh my goodness this family is so beautiful! They all look like they just stepped out of a J Crew Catalogue! And baby Crew in all of his cuteness is a loved baby indeed! His big brother could not get enough of his little buddy. How fun to have such great kids.
And Crew was wide awake through practically the entire session, he just loved checking out the world around him. He finally dozed off for a few sleeping shots at the end, but he was darling the whole time anyway!

I love First Birthday photo shoots! It is so amazing to see how much these little ones have completely grown up in just one short little year. Kyle is so very handsome with those big, bright baby blue eyes. He's getting ready to just take off, I just know it! Most one-year-olds get tired of getting their pictures taken after just a few minutes, but this little dude was so patient and cool with whatever we wanted to do. And when his mom brought out the cake...oh boy, it was cuteness times 100.

These are our super great friends, The Rogers! I've been Michelle's Visiting Teacher on and off for the last 5 years and it has been so fun getting to know her and to see how her cute little guy has grown! I finally meet her mom, as well as Bob's son Brandon at this shoot and It was just so fun getting to know them as well. Brandon is a handsome guy with such a great smile and you can definitely see how much he loves his new little brother. Michael has a huge smile that I'm sure is what keeps him from getting into trouble after he's unrolled an entire roll of toilet paper onto the bathroom floor :). Just a wonderful family all around! I'll be sure to post some photos of Michael in his elf costume soon. Can't wait!

Oh my goodness, this was such a fun shoot. It began with little miss A very properly introducing me to her Aunt Shannon and her Oma with the most darling little wave of her hand, then she proceeded to introduce me to her little brother and her dad. It was crazy for me to think that she is a few days younger than my Ava, and there is no way that Ava would even have the mindset to consider being so polite :) What a little doll. I was also blown away to see that her little brother is running around when the first time that I met them he was only a few months old. What a great looking family! I've loved seeing them over the last year!

I cannot say enough good things about this awesome family! There are just so many cool things about them. First of all they go to Disneyland more than anyone I've ever met...that right there should give you an idea of their total coolness. One of these days I'm going to hide in the back of their Suburban so I can go with them :).
I am just blown away at how fast time flies. We moved into their ward 6 years ago and Sarah and Emily were my little Activity Day girls, always sooo sweet, and now here they are in junior high. Erica is in College and Weston is getting ready to turn in his Missionary Pictures...WOW!!

I was jumping all over the place and doing everything that I could to get the little cutie to smile, but he wouldn't budge for me. The babies are here! Triston and Jon waited a long time for these special arrivals and I'm sure Corbin and Riley were worth the wait. I loved seeing Jon's facebook status update when they were born. It said, "One boy, one girl. Two hearts beating wildly", I LOVE that song...so precious.
They are so very cute, just like their little model of a big sis Addison. She sure knows how to work it in front of the camera :)

I absolutely LOVED this shoot! Spend 5 minutes with Aimei, Eric and Max, (who is BRILLIANT by the way) and you will be hooked! They were so much fun to hang out with and so gorgeous in front of the camera. And Max was the most well-behaved little fella, especially after driving all the way from Wyoming to get to our shoot. I know a few little cranky pants who live in my home that would not have been very happy about being photographed after a road trip. Seriously what a great little guy! I had a total blast with you guys! Thank you!!

Halloween Mini-Sessions!!!!!!!!!! YAY BABY!!!!!!

It's that time of year again! Time to get those little kiddles all cutesied up in their uncomfortable, yet completely darling-and-"it's-only-one-day-that-you-have-to-wear-it-so-it's-worth-it" costumes. FUN! And what better way to document what great sports they are then to bring them in to have some fabulous portraits taken by moi?

Here's the deal-i-o.

Sessions will be scheduled from 4:00 to 8:00 all three days on the hour. Each session will be $35 and include 1/2 hour of picture taking bliss, 15 poses with 3 options for backgrounds and 1 personalized Halloween Card file all on disc that you will get to take with you when you leave to get those images printed right away!

To reserve your spot, please leave a comment, with a way to get a hold of you if you need directions, and I will keep try to keep it as up-to-the-minute as possible so you'll be able to see which spots have already been scheduled.

I feel like the luckiest photographer in the world! I get to meet and spend time with the most awesome families out there! Look at these beautiful people! Aidan kept telling me that he doesn't have a girlfriend, but with those dimples...come on! I'm sure he has at least 14 girls who claim that he's their boyfriend, he just doesn't know it :). And Ella...with that pretty smile and those sparkly eyes, WOW girl! I loved this shoot for so many reasons, I felt like I was hanging out with my gorgeous sister Lori.

These are our fabulous cousins!
While I was editing a photo of Aidan, Bette walked by and said, "Oh, that kid is so cute!...HEY, wait a minute..that's my friend!". My kids LOVE getting to hang out with The Diehl kiddos. They have such cute personalities to go right along with those cute faces. And Lucas is seriously the best baby ever, I love that smily little guy!

Thanks again Nate and Melissa. As soon as life settles down a bit (hahaha) we'll go to dinner and I'll give indian food a try...I sure hope it's as good as you say it is :)

After finding out that our last baby was going to be a little girl, the first thing that my sweet husband said when getting into the car was, "I am so dead". He's convinced that the more girls he has, the more of a sap he's become. It's true people, it.is.soooo.true.
He gets teary-eyed at the drop of a hat and we all adore him for it :).

Every dad needs at least one girl, and this great guy has four!
Aren't they just sooooo beautiful??? I loved every minute of this shoot! And I totally love how they are all friends as much as they are family. It renews the excitement that I have about having four girls myself.

Those words. Those dark beautiful eyes looking up at me with out-stretched arms. "Hol-ja-me".
Of coarse I will hold you Ava.

People will say what they want to about holding children too much.
"You're spoiling them"
"They need to do things on their own."
"Every time you answer the door you have your baby in your arms."
"I didn't even know that she could walk, you're always holding her."

To them I say, "meh, I don't really care."

If my little one needs to be held to feel loved, comforted and secure...you bet I'm going to "hol-ja" her!

I cannot think of one single time when she has reached up with her tiny little hand to hold mine that I have not stopped for a second, closed my eyes and thought to myself, "Remember this Amy, these moments will not last forever".

I love that my left arm is 10 times stronger than my right because that's the arm that I'm holding her onto my hip with.
I love that my FB status updates have typos because I've been trying to type around a squirmy little 2 year old sitting on my lap.
I love the Malt-O-Meal crusting on my shirt from her sticky little hands in the morning.

And I'll love these things about my Ava forever.

The sign in front of "Kneaders" bakery started the "Countdown to Pumpkin Bread" last month and that can only mean one thing...FALL IS HERE!!! I am so in love with fall for so many reasons...the crispness in the air, seeing my kiddos in sweaters, the beautiful colors on the mountains...ahhhhh, I LOVE IT!!! Can't get enough of it.

This fall also brings with it a new price list...yay? I've been putting it off for waaaay too long so here we go.

Yesterday

My dear sweet Reagan and my dear sweet little niece Ataylee were baptized and confirmed members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Reagan had been looking forward to her baptism for as long as she can remember. Her testimony of the gospel amazes me so much with each passing day. I love how she just KNOWS with all of her heart how much our Father in Heaven just LOVES her and wants her to be happy. I feel so blessed to be her mom! There have been so many nights that I will be walking by her room after she's been told to go to bed and she and Bette will be kneeling by their beds in prayer.
A few weeks ago we had a crazy thunderstorm in the middle of the night and Kaitlin had woken me up so we could pray for safety. So we said a prayer and we knew that Heavenly Father would watch over us and our home. The next morning I asked Reagan if she had heard the storm during the night and her reply was, "Ya, I heard it. But I prayed and I knew that we would be okay. I'm so glad that we can pray.". Her sweet simple testimony will be such a blessing throughout her life. Just like mine has been to me.

Here we go with the gorgeous, sparkly eyes again! Can you tell who these beautiful people are related to??? The Kirby's, The Penrods, The Scott's, The Manwaring's...did I miss anyone? Seriously, everyone in their whole extended family just has the most stunning eyes! Wowza!
This was a fun, whirlwind shoot. Luckily we got the family portraits taken before the monsoon hit. Part of our shoot took place in the car :), but Morgan was fabulous and braved the rain outside while I snapped away with a wal-mart bag protecting my camera from the raindrops. It was super fun, I loved it!

Oh Baby!

Shule and Ariel are just about the sweetest and most genuine couple that I have ever met, not to mention gorgeous....and now we'll get to see them a lot more because Ariel's brother just married my little sister! Yipee!! Seriously, they have the most awesome family ever! I felt like we'd all known each other for years when we met for the first time. I hope my sis. appreciates having great in-laws, not everyone can be so fortunate :).

I am sooooo excited for their little girl to arrive soon. Blake was talking to me as I was editing last night and took one glance at the pictures and said, "oh, their baby is going to be beautiful!" My thoughts exactly. How could she not be? Look at her parents!

She will be beautiful and soooo blessed to be born to such a wonderful family. I loved so many things about this maternity session, especially that Shule brought her hubby's basketball shorts to wear for some of the pictures because that's what she likes to wear at home while they're relaxing... is that precious or what? Loved, loved, loved hanging out with you guys!!

This little darling belongs to our fabulous friends who were rockstars when it came to not finding out what they were having! The suspense would drive me crazy, but they were determined to be surprised. I remember having a dream before she was born that I was at the store buying a baby gift for her, and for the life of me I could not remember what the baby was and I was too embarrassed call and ask what she'd had. Thank goodness that was just a dream.

Well, she is one loved baby that's for sure. I'm so happy for her. She was definitely born to a wonderful, wonderful family!
I'm excited to see if she'll end up having dazzling blue eyes like her big sister, or if she'll have sparkly brown chocolate chip eyes like her handsome big brother....I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

One home, One Heading Out...

The Fairbanks Family here has just a little too much excitement going on for one week...if it were me, I don't know if I'd be able to handle it. They just had their oldest son return from a mission a few days ago and today they'll be sending their second son out into the mission field. How exciting for everyone! Wow. I'm so glad that we were able to fit this shoot in while they were all together, They are all such wonderful people. And I, along with my lovely assistant Blake, just had the best time with them. Krew's parents brought him in for a mini-sesh while they were visiting from Idaho. His grandma has a space on her wall along with all of the other grandchildren just for Krew, and I think for a few moments there we weren't going to get a good shot for her, but we did it! As if DAYBREAK wasn't THE coolest community ever already, this completely AWESOME family is just the icing on the cake! I loved every single minute of this shoot! Watching the kids laugh and play and just enjoy life was so heart warming. They were definitely a cute, cute bunch. And I was way impressed at the great engineering skills of Mr. Kirby here. He is the mastermind behind pretty much everything that's cool about Daybreak. Our plan is to load our kids into the car, let them spend a day at the parks and lake, then the second one of them says something like, "I wish that we could live here", that's when we'll drop the bomb on them and show them the house that we've purchased there.
it's fool proof!

This session had me getting teary-eyed behind the lens a more than a few times. This family is just so wonderful and the love that they share is so beautiful! They were all together for a family reunion and I was so happy to be able to meet them at Snowbird Ski Resort to take their pictures. There were so many darling grandkids running around, it really makes me look forward to being at that point in my life!
Thank you so much McConkie family, I will remember this session and the moments that you shared for the rest of my life.

I am always super impressed at these beautiful mothers who just breeze into my studio like they hadn't just given birth only weeks before. Seriously, look at how beautiful Amber is...and in Jeans too! I'm still a total mess, and my baby is almost 3!
Well, we had a wonderful time. Daisy was wide awake and alert until it was time to leave. So precious! I love the sweet smile on her face when her daddy is kissing her on the head. It is so clear that she is absolutely adored. What a doll!

This great looking family lives in one of the most beautiful places in Utah. Actually, I should say that they live in one of the beautiful homes in one of the most beautiful places in Utah, that the Dad and brothers built themselves. Very impressive.
Meeting them was well worth waking up at 4:45 a.m. :)
And they had such great ideas about what they wanted, I loved every minute of it!

Cutest Couple Ever!

What if our ward news letter was like a high school yearbook with things like, "most likely to be president" or "most likely to become a rock star"? Can you imagine???
Well, IF that were to ever happen, here we have "The Cutest Couple EVER"!

I shudder to think of what I would be voted. Probably "most likely to blow off a body part while playing with fireworks."

Seriously though, I was so delighted when Alli's mom called me about taking these pictures. I'll never forget how she said, "Well, Alli's gotten herself engaged" and in my coolest voice I asked, "to who?" but in my brain I was chanting, "Please say Robbie Rowe, Please say Robbie Rowe!!!" and when she said, "Well, to Robbie Rowe" I jumped so high I almost hit the ceiling!
It has been so fun seeing how cute they are together ever since they both returned from their missions. They are so awesome!

And I absolutely love that Alli wanted to have a more traditional look when it came to their engagement photos. I had so much fun with the little lovebirds and Alli's spectacular mom!

This Family Session was one that I will remember for the rest of my life. The Dad/Grandpa "Chocolate" of the family was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor a while ago and we were going to take these pictures in a park, but due to complications he was admitted to the hospital the day before. So we did the Session at the Hospital and I am soooooo glad that we did! This family is truly wonderful! The love that they have for each other and their dear father and grandfather was so heartwarming.
I had tears in my eyes watching each of the grandkids as they climbed up on the bench next to their grandpa because they wanted their photo taken with him. And as weak as he was, he would still put his arm around each of them or give them a kiss on the head. Precious moments like that are what life is all about.

Oh my goodness! This little guy Grahm was THE happiest, smiliest kid that I have ever met in my life! He'd see the camera and pull out the big smiles and we'd move on to the next pose, it was fabulous! And obviously bright, sparkly eyes run in the family! Grahm is cousins with this little guy. I just noticed that I never blogged these! The last couple weeks of May were kind of a blur to me..I can only imagine how crazy things are going to be when I'm the one having kids graduating from high school...sheesh :)
Eric is awesome! It was fun to meet him, because his little brother is one of my son's good friends, and that kids cracks me up.
Their whole family is just so great. It's so nice to know them!!

Cute, cute family we have here! Jakobe was as serious as could be, but I believe that he is a smiley little guy...I sure do! We did get a few smiles out of him, when his mom and dad were holding him. Usually, 4 month olds are a little more difficult to shoot, because they're not quite sitting up yet, but we got this little guy into a few fun poses that worked out great.
What a fun shoot! Heather here is a photographer herself, so she had a good idea of what she wanted, and I loved that. I'm excited to see her photography!

What a splendid shoot with such a great and awesome family! They are all are so darling. Little Miss A is Ava's age, but to hear her speak, I felt like I was listening to a 10 year old, (not a bratty 10 year old, a very cute 10 year old :). And I'm pretty certain that her little brother is going to be the same way, he has such wisdom in his eyes, always watching and just drinking the world around him in. So precious.

And oh my goodness, I wish I had known earlier in the session of miss A's amazing dance moves! This girl can move!
Talent and pure awesomeness just oozing from this family, I just know it!!
...Speaking of talents, Lindsay here is a genius with fabric! She made A's adorable, revers-able jumper. I love it.

We definitely had the forces of nature against us when it came to Jane's Bridal Shoot..but we prevailed VICTORIOUSLY!!!
Weather....rescheduling........ hair emergencies......... weather (AGAIN).......me jumping a curb when I got distracted by deer :)

Oh but once we got shooting, the clouds and all doubt in our hearts departed and it was FABULOUS!!
Jane was so stunningly beautiful and glowing, thanks in part to her lovely mother who brought light to or session in more ways than one!

Presley Vivian! Such a fabulous little baby girl! She was the best baby that I've ever had in my studio! Oh my goodness, her session was absolutely lovely! I've never done a newborn shoot where both parents were able to just sit back and relax while i moved their perfect little sleeper from one basket to the next, I loved it!
And her cute parents...I am soooo dang happy for them! I've known Michelle for years, and she is definitely one of the sweetest people that I have ever known, no wonder her babe is such a little angel.
So very, very beautiful indeed!

They are such a dang cute couple who are awesome together. Loved the whole shoot....well, maybe not the time that I nearly laid down on a dead bird to get a shot, but other than that- it rocked!

My SUPER TALENTED friend Carrie has added more FaBuLoUs Bags to her "Carried Away" line!!
I absolutely LOVE them! They are awesome for so many reasons, but here are just a few examples of their awesomeness:

FIrst of all, they have 2 huge pockets (that I've mentioned before...but they're worth mentioning again :) Perfect for my phone and keys, and they're so far down there I know they're not gonna fall out.

The straps are super comfy on your shoulder.

You'll save .10 at Sunflower Market when you bring your own bag.

They're dang cute.

Totally washable! Bring them swimming, Put wet swim suits in them when you're done. Take them home and plop the whole thing in the washing machine. Rad.

Springtime in the orchards with a completely fabulous family..can life get any better??? "I submit that it canNOT!"
These guys had the same experience that I did on our way to the shoot.

Walk out front door, weather looks good and sunny.
Look to the south were the orchards are, dark clouds looming overhead.
Driving toward gloomy clouds, raindrops on the windshield.
Get to the orchards, sure it's raining a smidgen, but who the heck cares :)

I'm so glad that we did this shoot! Little Cooper was A-mazing! He needed no time at all to warm up to the idea of pictures he just came ready to smile and when he was done he politely gave us the sign for "All Done" and that was that. Such a little cutie, with his mama's cute dimples! It was so fun to see them again.

And Ruth here is my HERO! She's the reason for my little sister Lia's state of bliss that she's been walking around in. Setting her up with Jul-Dog was the best thing ever! We definitely owe her a diamond...bigger than Lia's even!!

I loved this shoot for so many reasons, even before the shoot started, I LOVED IT! While I was waiting for the lovely senior, her mom and her sister to arrive I got to sit and just relax in the orchard. The weather was cool and crisp and the smell from the blossoms was heavenly. Heavenly, I tell you. I'm thinking that I may do that more often.
Michal was awesome! I love that she brought one of her books along to show her cute personality in her pictures. And I love that she also brought her cute mom and sister along to show her cute personality even more. We had a blast.

I was so excited to hear that I was going to be doing a session with a family of teenagers in the canyon so I wouldn't have to worry about little ones wandering away and falling in the river or getting hurt somewhere. Little did I know that I was still going to have a near heart-attack when Tyler here thought that it would be cool to do a BACK FLIP off of a table...It was very awesome. SCARY, but still awesome! And it was soooo nice to be up in the canyon again! Hopefully we can start having some warm weather soon that will actually stick around.

The first time I met this fabulous family, their little Caroline was just one month old and my Ava was a little newborn. Now Caroline has a baby sister who will be turning ONE soon, and she seems sooooooo much older than my little squirt. Time flies when you're having fun I guess. I always have a great time at sessions with the Penrods! They are so awesome. And have the greatest ideas for ways to show their children's true personalities. And when I hear about the fun parties they throw, I feel like a total dud of a mom, so I don't think I'll be asking about parties anymore :). They're probably out partying right now!!

Beautiful, Beautiful Scarlett. Goodness she was just a little angel for our shoot! It wasn't too long ago at all that we were taking Lucy's Newborn Portraits, now here she is with a brand new baby sister!! And I have loved every second of looking through the images that were able to get. Not only is Scarlett a gorgeous baby, but she is such a patient little soul. She was so sweet to put up with all of my nonsense and crazy ideas. I love newborn shoots so much! Their sweet spirits just radiate out of their teeny-tiny bodies!

I've been taller than him since I was 10 1/2 years old.
He has SEVEN children.

When people ask me the question, "So, where are you from?", I always feel a little awkward for a moment because in my head I'm thinking, "Do you really want to know where I'm from...like where I was born? Or are you asking me why I'm brown???" Usually I end up answering by saying something stupid like, "Arizona.". Well, it's true...kind of. I was born in Lake Havesu City in good ol' Hotter-than-heck AZ, but that's not what makes me brown :)

My brownness stems from the beautiful heritage that I have the privilege of being a part of. That of the Hopi, Chemuevi and Mexican people. Wow, that sounded so official. Maybe I should have it printed on a card and just hand it to people when things get weird. haha.

And this is my brother. He's for rent actually. Really!
He has traveled the world sharing his beautiful talents as a Native American Performer.

I never grow tired of watching him as he performs and explains what the dances are all about. I still get teary-eyed time after time as I watch him dancing in his outfit made from my dad's old military dress blues as he honors those who have served our country. And I love whoopin' and hollering at him while he performs the death defying hoop dance with rings of FIRE!
Okay, no fire. I wish.

So I'm brown + I'm a pyromaniac. Just wanted to get that out in the open.

If anyone out there would like more information in what he's all about, let me know!
He's great for Corporate events, Scouting stuff, really whatever!

And his calves are almost as rock solid as mine. Be sure to check those suckers out :)

That is awesome. Truly for reals now, Coby here just graduated from the Academy and, even though it took some persuading from his sweetie, we were able to document him in his "gear-downs" or "get-ups" or "turnouts" (That's what the gear is called. I totally had to just find the message that Lori sent to me on FB to figure it out). And man, turnouts are HEAVY.

And there is no way that we weren't going to get some shots of his fabulous supportive family. The little dears!

That word, "Somehow" has made it into phrases of mine maybe a total of 6 times in my. entire. life.
But somehow, (okay 7 times now) my little Bette-girl manages to find ways to use it on a daily basis.

"I put my shoes neatly in my closet just like you asked me to and somehow they disappeared."

or

"I wasn't playing around with my chocolate milk and somehow it spilled all over the place."

but my all time favorite is this little doozy:

"I can't go to sleep because somehow my body won't let me close my eyes and I hear a noise coming from my tummy so that means that I'm hungry."

I sooooooo love this little girl of mine! She reminds me the most of me when I was little...at least I like to think that I was as cute as back in the day.

Everyday with her is just a joy. She is so very precious, polite, helpful, hilarious, and quirky and I am so glad that she's mine!

I'm also so very glad that
somehow I was able to straighten her curly, curly hair
and
somehow I was able to talk her into wearing a DRESS
and
somehow I was able to catch that twinkle in her eyes when she smiles.

And that makes 10.

These were just a few of the fantastic shots that we were able to get of Adorable little dude before getting arrested for breaking and entering and getting hauled off to the pokie. I've never been arrested during a baby photo shoot before...AW-KWARD!

Oh I am kidding! Not about being locked out of the house and having to borrow a neighbors fabulous home though. And it was fabulous let me tell you :) What awesome friends!

There really is! A REAL, LIVE living little girl who is going to be born, and smile and one day start adding extra syllables to words like "fine-uh" and "Okay-uh" with the added twist of an eye-roll when she's asked to clear the table after dinner. Maybe that's just my experience with having girls...but still.
Have you ever seen a more beautiful pregnant woman? I totally get what people mean when they talk about "the glow". Meradith here is GLOW-ING!!! Gorgeous! And goodness, I am so excited to see precious little Lucy as a big (well, older anyway) sister. She is so incredibly darling and I could not be more happy for their whole entire family!

My Cute little dad with the latest grandkid...I think there are 28 now? Too lazy to figure it out...

Skye here, a.k.a. VICTOR (my nickname for him...not Victor from "Smoke Signals", Victor as in what-I-think-Victor Wong-looked-like-when-he-was-a-baby) Okay, now that we've gotten that cleared up, Skye here is my little Sister Bethany and her Hubbs Brian's little (BIG) bundle of Joy! My mom, Blake and I were huddled around the O.R. window waiting for him to be born via C-Section because of his humongousness and we could not believe our eyes when we saw that giant kid! He was soooooo cute, with his cute fat little wrinkled face, it was a great day for all I tell ya! And tell me how this makes ANY sense at all- Not even ONE week earlier my dear, sweet husband PASSES OUT because of a SPLINTER in his hand, A SPLINTER...but he can watch a C-Section without even breaking a sweat. I would have thought that he was just faking the whole fainting thing a week earlier had he not been snoring with his eyes open and rolled into the back of his head. But that's a story for another day. and it gets better and better each time I tell it.

Anyway, We are so happy to have little Skye boy in our family! He is soooo very precious to all of us and my girls cannot get enough of holding him.

Dreao {Senior Portraits}

When Dreao here called me up one day and said, "I feel like taking my senior portraits in St George today." The hubbs and I loaded our 5,000 kids in the Expedition and were outta there in record time! See what a dedicated photog I am???

Okay, okay so maybe we were already heading down to St. Gizzle for a March Madness Baseball Tournament. And maybe I didn't actually speak to Dreao here until I met him there...but it sounded cool right? If anyone would like to have portraits taken there, I'll still do it! I Love the St George! We had a greeeeaat time! And I think that now would be as good a time as ever to talk about how my kid hit TWO HOME RUNS in the SAME DAY!!!!!!! Heck yes he did!!! And nope I didn't have my camera handy to capture it, but I will forever see the grin he gets on his face when he's trying not to smile as he rounded 3rd base to be greeted by his teammates, in my brain. Forever. I wouldn't have gotten a clear shot anyway, what with all of my screaming and jumping up and down and such, you know how it goes. I am so happy for that kid of mine. Wouldn't have missed it for the world!

What a great Senior we have here! He heard that we were going to be in his neck of the woods and we were able to schedule this shoot at the last minute and I'm so glad that we did! It was so great to meet you Dreao, you are a stud! And Congratulations on the Graduation!!

Another precious boy for the super-great Douglas Family!!! Baby Ty is 5 weeks old and SUCH. A. CUTIE!!! Oh goodness was it fun to see him checking everything out...especially his gorgeous mama! Beautiful little Claire was such a fabulous sleeper for her session! We had so much fun with her while she patiently let us do pretty much whatever we wanted to do. Thank you little one!! Spending the afternoon with with this fabulous family was an absolute blast! I loved, loved, loved the relaxed atmosphere of this shoot with the kids getting to choose their own outfits to the great background combinations that Lottie thought up. Even sweeter than that though, was seeing watching Lottie and Harlen completely smother little Tilda with kisses. She is one loved baby that is for sure! And are those the cutest names ever? Loved them!

Goodness what I wouldn't give for those eyelashes! Lilly here is so cute and she knows it. She's definitely a girl who knows what she wants...or doesn't want. Things like a big flower on her head and a fluffy tu-tu around her waste...NO WAY! She loves blue and isn't into the girly-girl dressy thing, sounds a little like my Bette. If they didn't live in Boston I'm sure that Bette would be more than happy to share her "getting out of having to wear girl fluffiness" techniques with Lilly. It's about dang time right??? I can't believe that it's taken me so long to get started on posting the rest of the sessions from 2009! Sorry all!
But what could be better than starting the new year off with one of my fabulous friends and her cute family???
One of my favorite things about "Couples Bunco" is playing with Kirk and Laura! They are hilarious...so fun!
And look at those 2 little girls...with just about the cutest names ever! Tessa and Ashley are little dolls!

I love seeing this wonderful family every year! They really are the coolest! And there was no way that we were going to let a little snow ruin our shoot. We were zooming all over the place as fast as we could so we could get the shots that we wanted so we could be done and get warm... actually all of that zooming around did keep us pretty warm. It worked out quite splendidly! Nate and Claire were just the cutest as always...And Anna and Todd- Woo woo! Hot couple for sure!

Oh. my. goodness. Would now be a good time to talk about how cute this little girl is??? Where to begin now? Those bright sparkly eyes or those darling cheeks? She is just precious in every way! This little cutie pie belongs to the fabulous Mrs. Kennedy who taught Blake and Kaitlin 5th grade. She is such an awesome teacher! We have been so blessed to have such wonderful teachers teaching our kids through the years! I was so excited to hear that her and her hubbs were expecting their first baby..I'm pretty sure that I called dibbs on taking her pictures the minute I heard :). And what a fun shoot it was! I loved watching her just melt in her daddy's arms..she is one loved baby that is for sure!

I have never seen a mother and grandmother beam so much during a photo shoot like Arlene Hawkes did! Well, I'm sure maybe my mom and grandmother probably do...but I've never been looking to see it :). She was so proud of that family of hers!
Such a beautiful family. I felt honored to be a part of their 50th Anniversary celebration!

What a fun and busy shoot this was! It was a party for sure! I love seeing when huge families come together, it makes me think of the great times had when my big family gets together. The girls are all off doing their little girly things, and the boys are turning every stick they find into swords... I Love it! Such beautiful families indeed!

I was so dang excited to see this awesome family of Red-Heads again this year! They've added a cute little grandbaby to the bunch since I last saw them, and I must say that he is adorable!!! I whole-heartedly believe in the spoiling of cute kids, so I was happy to see a little fighting going on over who got to hold the little tike :) What a great looking family! It was so great to see them all again!

Hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving Holiday! I always love this time of year and feel tremendously blessed to have such a wonderful family that I love with all my heart! I am also so very thankful to have such a FUN photography business where I get to meet absolutely awesome families like this family! I took there pictures last year, and sweet little Maggie kept telling me that she remembered me from before...I'm sure glad that she didn't remember how cold it was outside last year, she might not have wanted anything to do with pictures this year :). Oh, they were all so dang cute! And I am sooooo impressed by Rachelle's insanely awesome ability to pull together such cute outfits for the whole fam with less than a day's notice. She ROCKS! They all do! And all of them.... so beautiful!

So what if there is a BLIZZARD outside??? Do you think that is going to stop us from getting the shots that we wanted to get???
Oh, What a wonderful couple Brett and Lisa are! Lisa and I met in the "Oasis" ward (Oasis among Ghetto-ness) probably 6 or 7 years ago. She is just fabulous...and so funny! I remember hearing about when she was called to be the R.S. President of the ward. She got up and said something along the lines of "When I was called to this calling, I immediately wanted to go home, mop my floors and make a loaf of bread!" . So Cute! And her new Husband, is perfect for her. And soooo sweet. My favorite part of the reception was hearing him sing my all time FAVE Depeche Mode song, "Somebody", to her at the Piano. It was beautiful.
Congratulations you two! It was a wonderful day indeed!!!
