Little Miss Lucy

When I meet brand new little ones for the first time I always think of how when I was a kid we were told that we were saved for these last days because we were the strongest and most valiant of spirits...but how much stronger were the children of this generation??? I can't believe how much babies change and grow in just a few short months! During Lucia's newborn session she was so calm and sweet and this time she was still ever so sweet, but she also looked like she was just about ready to burst into song while she was sitting on the floor in front of the camera... I can imagine her saying in her beautiful little head, "There is so much that I want to say and do but this little body of mine just won't let me yet!!!" Oh the things this little girl will do in her life! And what a blessing to have been born into such a FANTASTIC family!!!!

I missed her...

I'm sure anyone who was watching her spazzing out and climbing all over the chairs at my nephew's baptism this morning would have never guessed that just a few weeks ago my little sickie Ava was even the same baby! A few days before leaving to St. George over President's Day Weekend for Blake's baseball tournament, she got hit hard with a bug that totally ate her little tummy up. I've never seen her so calm and sad looking with her little sunken in eyes. Thanks to some fabulous friends in our ward who let Blake ride down to St. George with them we were able to stay home and work on getting her better before we made the trip. Having sick little ones is never fun, especially traveling with them. But we braved the trip anyway so we could watch Blake play ball. She was feeling a tiny bit better but still wasn't the same little Ava-cado that we are always so entertained by. So my plan of getting some fabulous photos of my kids didn't exactly work out during that trip, nor did they work out on this last trip last week, but that doesn't really matter. I'm just so excited to have my little bouncing baby Ava back.... I sure did miss her!!!!

Spending the afternoon with this fabulous family makes me miss the good old days of being in my home ward! I remember being a new little nerdy beehive and totally looking up to The Brookes family in YM/YW...what great examples they were to me! And now there are a bunch of little mini-me's...well mini-thems with the same bright eyes as their parents! So great to see you all again!

One Year Old!!!! The first Birthday is always so exciting for me...When my children have turned 1, I feel like I have risen victoriously from the sleepless night haze, the freaking out over hearing someone sneeze in the same store as me, or cringing from not being able to run over and catch a toddling child as they topple over and bonk their head on whatever it is that they are crashing into. I feel like screaming out to the world..YAY.WE DID IT!!!!!! Scottie...how exciting it must be to be one year old!!! It was so fun to watch you walk and play with your brand new toys...Happy Birthday little dude!

Oh for CUTE's sake!!!!

My little Ava-cado!!!! She has a Kaitlin face...Reagan Body and Bette's pure CRAZINESS....who'd have thought??? I guess that's what happens when you have 4 girls in a row...all of the sweet attributes just get rolled into one at some point right? I do find it quite hilarious that I get this same comment over and over again when they see her running around..." I had no idea that she could even walk! Every time we see her she's in someone's arms!". So true. My little munckin is spoiled rotten- and I mean rotten! Oh well, that will be her husbands problem 20 years form now. Did I just write that???

Olivia

Darling little Olivia just gets cuter and cuter every time I see her! I realize that I probably ask this a lot, but I am serious...Where have these last 6 months gone???? I'm seeing all of the sweet newborns that I just took pictures of not too long ago crawling and scooting around like they weren't helpless little babies at all. Is it too much to ask to just stay babies for a little longer???
