I know...

I know... I know... she's not a doll to play dress up with :). but what the heck else am I to do at 3:00 in the morning with a wide awake baby and a darling little headband that finally fits her little head???? It's a no brainer if you ask me!

I Love Christmas!!! Christmas is my FAVORITE!!!! This Christmas season has been a complete whirlwind of Christmasness! Through all of the adventures of having a newborn and all of our "Christmas-zilla" activities, it's been so precious to see my dear little ones working hard on they're hand-made gifts for each other this year. I know how easy it is to get caught up in the commercialized side of Christmas, but it just fills my heart with Joy to know that the real reason for celebrating hasn't completely slipped their minds. I hope that everyone this year has a completely wonderful Christmas! I've loved spending time with all of you wonderful families on my blog, (I've especially loved getting all of the awesome Christmas cards with your sweet familiar faces)!!!

The Richards Family

Another completely great looking family! Here are Justin, Amanda, Jake, Luke (or as Reagan calls him..."Loop") and Sam. It's always a good time with the Richards! Amanda and I have been Visiting Teaching together for three years now and it's a blast every time! Every once in a while we get all of the sisters in our group together and order Cafe Rio or some other deliciousness...Hello...What could be better than that???? Of coarse we give a lesson too :).

This was such a fun session to shoot at their home, I always feel like I'm strolling through the pages of a Pottery Barn catalogue when I'm there. And their boys...so dang handsome!

The Kirby Family

Wow... if only I could have the energy of Nathan!!! How would it be??? I could definately get so much more done in a day. Kaitlin and I had so much fun with Todd, Anna and cute little Nate! Such a beautiful Family
(Nate's cousins are William and Caroline from a few weeks ago).


It was so cute to watch Nate make the lights flash just by smiling at the top of my camera, and what a dang cute smile it is! I especially love those darling little freckles on his nose.

The Allen Family

was born 2 weeks after Ava, and Jen has been absolutely wonderful in sympathizing with me in this season of life with a newborn. Such beautiful, (or should I say handsome) blue eyes...WOW! We had such a fun little shoot, but I think Ty-Ty's favorite part of the whole thing had to be Blake's drums! Hope you love these Jen! More of the family pics to come :)

Curls!

Every morning before he goes to work my dear sweet hubby leaves me a breakfast shake on the kitchen counter along with a little sweet note. A few mornings ago he left one saying, "Thank you for being the reason that our kids have such beautiful brown eyes". Aaaawwwww. I sure do love that man...Who I should be thanking for being the reason that Bette has these out-of-control-dang-cute-curls! It's about time that ONE of my girls gets curly hair instead of my dumb wierd hair :-).



Anyway...these happy pictures of Bette are the direct result of her being fresh from the tub and having just eaten all of the candy from the advent calendar that Qua-ah brought over a few days ago. Why is that candy that tastes like chocolaty cardboard so good??? We've yet to make it all the way to the 25th door...maybe next year! Is she cute or what? These pictures kind of make it hard to believe that someone so sweet looking could be so crazy! We just see flashes of flying pink and purple out of the corners of our eyes all day with her jumping off of anything that she can climb onto! She "has some serious thrill issues dude!"

Bad hair day

So a baby with a full head of hair is always adorable right??? Until they grab it in their tiny little hand and start pulling! When we bought Ava in to her 2 week appointment she had a fist of hair so tight that she was screaming at the top of her lungs for what seemed like the longest time to unclench those tiny little fingers. It was sooo sad to see the look on her sweet little crying face that was saying "Why is my head hurting so bad right now??? Since then she's done it a few more times.

I wasn't trying to catch that image with my camera last night. I was really trying to get a picture of how her hair is the exact same texture as the little lamb skin she's laying on. It's all over the place after it's freshley washed. The poor, precious, darling dear!

Ava

My baby girl is 4 weeks old!!! I can't believe how fast this last month has flown by... maybe it's because I've been walking around in a sleep deprived stupor, I don't know. She has been such a pure delight in our family! It's so amazing how much you can absolutely LOVE someone that you've just barely met. And she is L-O-V-E-D! There is no doubt about that! She is probably laying down by herself maybe a grand total of 45 minutes a day because someone is always holding her, and while she's being held by one person, there is always another person every once in a while stopping to kiss her on the head as they walk by.

Every time she starts to cry Reagan will come running from wherever she is in the house singing "I'll follow Him in Faith" from the top of her lungs. And if Bette is near she walks up with her arms sticking straight out saying " I hold her". Oh sweet little Ava!

The Bonzo Fam

So we've been friends with the Bonzo Fam for 6 or 7 years now and we absolutely LOVE them! I can't even say Jen's name without squealing it :). (And Blake still can't say Gordon's name without calling him "Guido" first...what's up with that???) Anyway, They are the super best!!! I can't believe how fast their cute kids have grown up, my how time does fly. What a great look!
